FLL EXPLORE

FIRST LEGO League Explore gives early elementary school students and their adult coaches the opportunity to work and create together while they explore science and technology concepts.

At least one parent per student is required to support team operations as a Coach or Mentor.

TRF teams sizes are 4-5 students, and 2 coaches, to ensure that all students have the ability to be hands-on with Explore materials.

- Refunds will not be given after the first meeting of the season, as your student will already been placed on a team and resources have been prepared for your student.

The Role OF A Coach

Coaches in FIRST LEGO League Explore will:

- Facilitate Play and Learning: Guide the team as they explore STEM concepts using the Explore Set and create their team model and poster.
- Promote Teamwork: Encourage team members to share ideas, take turns, and collaborate as they work together.
- Champion Core Values: Model the FIRST Core Values and recognize how teams apply them throughout each session.
- Prepare the Team: Help the team prepare to present their team model and poster at the festival event, ensuring they’re ready to share what they’ve learned and created.
- Be a Role Model: Celebrate every step of progress, no matter how small, and encourage the team to embrace new ideas and challenges.
